Marc Jessup is a North Carolina native who graduated from Mississippi State University in 1987. Marc began his insurance career in New Bern later that year. He since earned his RHU (Registered Health Underwriter) designation and continues to work towards other professional designations. With knowledge and expertise in a broad range of employee benefit services, Marc assists businesses throughout Eastern North Carolina with their group medical, dental, disability, and life programs. As a compliment to employee benefits he is able to advise businesses with all aspects of their property and casualty insurance needs. He is active in the community, serves on various boards including the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as participating on the Advisory Council for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. When not working with clients, Marc enjoys duck hunting, golf, the beach, and spending time with his wife and three children.
Debra Tomchesson joined the agency in 2014 as a Sales Executive. Licensed in Property & Casualty, Life, Accident and Health she works closely with individuals assuring all of their insurance needs are met. Debra, a New York native, has called North Carolina home since attending East Carolina University. After graduating with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, Debra pursued a career in the financial services industry. Away from the office, Debra and her husband enjoy attending the athletic and academic events of their very active 5 children.
Mary Boney joined Marc Jessup Insurance in 2007. She is a licensed agent in Health, Life, Medicare Supplement and Long Term Care and specializes in the individual products. Mary is certified trained in all aspects of the Affordable Care Act; assisting individuals with their Tax Credit eligibility and enrolling in the Healthcare Marketplace. She strives to establish and maintain long lasting relationships with our clients by guiding them in making the selection that best suits their needs. She works directly with the carriers to assist in any service, billing or claim issues to relieve this inconvenience from the individuals. Mary prides herself in providing solutions to all clients health insurance needs and to become their “trusted advisor.”
Stedman joined The Jessup Group in 2014 after a 15 year career as an account representative in the construction industry. Stedman is licensed in all personal and commercial lines but specializes in Commercial Property, General Liability, and Workers’ Compensation coverage. When not assisting clients, he enjoys fishing, bow hunting, golf, and spending time at the beach with his wife and children.
Mallory Stephens is a native of New Bern and joined the agency in 2013. As the Strategic Account Manager, Mallory supports both small and large group accounts; as well as serve as the primary point of contact for any questions or concerns group accounts may have regarding their insurance needs. Prior to joining The Jessup Group, Mallory worked in the medical area and brought with her over 10 years of medical billing and coding experience, which is extremely valuable when assisting the agency’s group accounts with claims or benefit questions. As a licensed agent, Mallory has been fully trained on all of the Affordable Care Act Market Place plans and fully understands the multiple facets of an ever-changing industry surrounding health care reform. When away from the office, Mallory enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Charlotte Martin is a New Bern native, but spent part of her childhood growing up in the Seattle, Washington area. She joined The Jessup Group in 2017, became licensed in Health, and is an Account Manager for Employee Benefits. Her years of experience in the professional field allow for her to also help with the agency’s Marketing and Strategy efforts. Charlotte and her husband enjoy the beach and attending baseball and softball games for their two active children.
Carol Wilcox joined The Jessup Group in 2016 as front desk coordinator and customer service representative. Prior to The Jessup Group, Carol was a receptionist with H & R Block for 25 years as well as a receptionist at a local pharmacy. She lived in Michigan before moving to New Bern 5 years ago with her husband of 38 years. Carol and her husband love the beach and look forward to spending time with their two grown children.
Jessica Fillingame, a New Bern native, has joined The Jessup Group as the Accounting Administrator. Jessica has many years of experience in the financial industry, working prior for the State Employees’ Credit Union as well as Carolina East. As Accounting Administrator, she will use her knowledge and organizational skills to assist with the financial records for The Jessup Group. Away from the office, Jessica loves the beach, hunting, sports, and spending time with her friends and family, including her 7 nieces and 4 nephews.
Sabrina joined our team in 2017. Coming from a Military family, she was born in California. She has been in Eastern NC for 24 years. Following her concentration in Accounting at Meredith College, Sabrina spent 5 years in Accounting at a local Health Department. Sabrina works as a liaison and support for many lines of coverage here at The Jessup Group. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children and their extra-curricular activities.
Amy joined The Jessup Group in 2018 as a Customer Service Representative. Born and raised in New Bern, Amy graduated from New Bern High School with interest in Arts, and furthering her education at Craven Community College in Art History. While not at the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her two children and grandchild. Amy loves the outdoors, running, gym, gardening and spending time in the mountains.
Keri Mack joined our team in 2018 and brings over 15 years of insurance industry experience. A Massachusetts native, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.S. in Business and Economics. She has been a resident of North Carolina for 10 years, 7 of which she served as an active duty Marine. Away from the office, Keri loves the beach, horseback riding, shooting at the range, hunting, running and her 3 dogs.
Heather is a Sales Executive in our Personal Lines department. Following graduation from UCF in 2000, Heather began her career with an insurance company as a Commercial Underwriter. Two years later, she was promoted to Marketing Representative, helping agencies grow and recruiting new agency partners. Heather has been helping agencies write new business all across Eastern North Carolina. Heather will be based out of our Morehead City location. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her twin daughters, Ashlyn and Anna, who are 6. Living in Morehead City, she and her family enjoy the beach, fishing, and taking trips all over the beautiful state of North Carolina.
